Hi! I’m Mari Forssell, founder and lead photographer behind TILA Real Estate Media.

Born and raised in Helsinki, Finland, I’ve always been inspired by the clean lines, light-filled spaces, and intentional simplicity of Scandinavian design. After spending six years in the UK, I found my way to Rockwall, Texas — bringing that same love of light, space, and design to every home I photograph.

At TILA Real Estate Media, I specialize in real estate photography, videography, and post-production, capturing not just how a space looks, but how it feels to be there. My interest in interior design and landscaping helps me see the potential and flow of every property, so your listings stand out and truly resonate with buyers.

Creativity shapes all corners of my life. I also run Moose + Pine, where I design and handcraft custom bags and wallets. And my partner Chris — a cinematographer — he’s the man behind Illuminate Filmworks, producing everything from marketing videos to music videos and films. So if you ever need a complete visual marketing package, from stunning photos to full cinematic storytelling, we can make it happen.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at a yoga class, cooking something new, or walking my two beautiful poodles, Margot and Stevie.

“Tila” means “space” or “room” in Finnish — a nod to where I’m from and to what great real estate media is all about: capturing the unique feeling of every space and telling its story beautifully.
